About me
One of the greatest joys in my life is building people up and that is what I offer in therapy. I'm a Chartered Clinical Psychologist in the U.K. and HCPC registered and I am qualified to see adults, children and adolescents.
I am triglingual in English, Cantonese and Mandarin. I am also a licensed Psychologist in California and New York,
USA and earned my Doctor of Psychology from PGSP-Stanford Psy.D. Consortium- a joint program of Stanford University and the Pacific Graduate School of Psychology.
I draw from a range of evidence based approaches and tailor them to your needs. Prior to private practice, I have also worked with people of all age ranges in primary care, specialty medicine, university medical centre, outpatient, inpatient, eating disorders day program, emergency psychiatric services, college counseling and community mental health. I also taught masters level counseling courses and did online coaching for high functioning individuals suffering from anxiety and body image concerns. Currently, I also lead innovative projects to mainstream psychology in the medical field, in the UK army, among senior civil servants and in the education sector. I'm currently located in London, U.K., but can also see patients in California via videoconferencing.
I'm trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Problem Solving Therapy, Couples and Family Therapies, and pays close attention to how culture, dynamics and spirituality plays a role in our well being. In addition, I take a holistic, mind-body approach to wellness and use interventions such as biofeedback and Focusing to reinforce the mind-body connection. Common issues treated include anxiety, depression, insomnia, relatiotnship issues, parenting and eating disorders.
I take a bio-psycho-social-spiritual approach to understanding your condition and use an integrative approach in therapy that is focused on both acceptance and change, enhancing strengths and solving problems at the same time in order to help you become a stronger and more authentic self.
